Leah,
Thanks for stopping by and for your comments. I have been very encouraged by the people who post on the V2 forum. Their encouragement is at least as valuable as the product itself. I particularly enjoy hearing stories, like yours, of other people's journeys. I feel like I have a scouting party that's gone out ahead of me (a great topic for a post).

I hope you'll stop again. Glad to have you here.

Lakeland Jim,
I am loving reading your posts. I have posted a couple of times on the V2 forum, but mostly I just read them to find out good information. I found you on there and love that you have this blog.

I have been using V2 since January and my last analog was Jan. 28--after 40 years of smoking. I never EVER though I would quit. I love smoking and it is one of my few vices; however, I am now 54 years old and know that my luck will not hold out forever as far as developing health issues from analogs. So, I had seen several articles about e-cigs on the internet and decided to do some research (I am a college prof. so I always do research :)). I kept coming across V2 and seeing great reviews.

I actually started with several different disposables that I could find at the drugstore and convenient stores first to find out what this was really like and I knew I could do it. Then I was ready to place my first V2 order. I was very lucky in that when I placed my order at the end of January and paid for that two day shipping,, I actually got them in two days! I had no idea there were so many issues with shipping and, thank goodness, I hit the web site at a very good time. I LOVE the product. I started with the Reds and they are very good. But, I started with the highest level of nicotine and have now moved down to the 12 mg. because my heart started racing.

I have also been referred to another company that I am pleased with too and the prices are a little cheaper. I will continue to order from V2 and this other company. The great thing is that once you start this, the more you learn and can branch out. I don't know if I will ever get to the juice because, frankly, I am just too lazy to deal with that.

Just wanted to let you know that I have really enjoyed reading your posts on the forum and following your journey.

Believe me, there's been a lot of discussion about that story on the forums I've been reading. Unfortunately, there hasn't been a lot of detail released. A lot of speculation has centered on the battery (or batteries) he was using, and if it was a standard, commercial unit or one of the many DIY mods that are out there.

I wish you huge success! I quit smoking in 2005 or 2006 (early January just can't be sure of the year), it was very hard but one of the best choices I've made.Wish I'd found the way sooner! Hope this works for you :)
